Emergency line · Benton and Washington Counties

Clogged drains, frozen spigots and burst lines, with a plumber on the phone 24/7.

Clogged drains, leaks and frozen or burst lines handled by Master Plumbers who also dig their own, with an emergency line that never closes.

Chapter 01

First, stop the water

When pipes let go, the first five minutes matter more than the repair. Find your main shutoff and close it. If the leak is coming from the water heater, close the cold supply valve above the tank, and if it is electric, switch its breaker off too. Open a faucet or two at the lowest point in the house to drain the lines and take pressure off the break.

Then call (479) 236-1861. Our regular hours are 6 AM to 6 PM every day, and the line is answered 24/7 for emergencies. Tell us what you shut off, where the water is showing up and whether it is moving. Don't try to chase a burst line under the yard yourself. Underground work is the job we own the excavator and backhoe for.

Frozen spigots and burst lines in Northwest Arkansas

Our winters swing back and forth, and the clay soil moves with them. Water that freezes in an outdoor spigot or a shallow line expands, and the crack often hides until the thaw, when a dripping spigot turns into a spray inside the wall. One customer called us for a leak stemming from a frozen spigot in the middle of the holiday rush and wrote that we were responsive anyway.

A frozen main that bursts shows up as low pressure, standing water in the yard or a water bill that jumps for no reason. That is a dig, and we do ours with our own equipment: excavator, backhoe and dump truck. Winterizing is cheaper than repairing. Before the first hard freeze, disconnect and drain every hose. If a spigot has its own shutoff inside the house, close it and open the spigot to let it drain.

Chapter 03

Clogged drains and the leaks behind them

One slow sink is usually a local clog. Every drain in the house gurgling or backing up points to the main line, and that is a different conversation, often about the sewer line out in the yard. We clean clogged drains, and we tell you when the clog is only the symptom. If roots or a broken pipe are the cause, clearing the drain once buys you a few weeks, not a fix.

Leaks are the same story at a smaller scale. A stain on a ceiling, a damp baseboard, a meter that keeps turning with everything off. General repairs and maintenance are part of what we do every day, from a corroded shutoff to a supply line that has outlived its fittings.

After the repair is finished

Once the water is back on, check what we touched. Run the fixtures, look under the sink and watch the meter for a few minutes with everything off. If a trench was opened, the backfill will settle over the next few rain cycles, and you should call us if a low spot opens up instead of topping it off yourself.

Keep the number where you can find it in the dark: (479) 236-1861. Military households get 10% off, and estimates are free.

Eric Babcock on Google: "I called them to fix a leak stemming from a frozen water spigot. They were super responsive, even given the busy holiday season."
